I have been creating illustrations for 20+ years, and never had a platform that catered to the creative desires of my mind. Instagram happened to fit that bill for me and turned out to be a great starting point. The goal I have for my comic is to make it fun, easy to follow, and to have a character or scenario that fits anyone. I love to read the Sunday Funnies in the paper, and my childhood dream was to be just like the illustrators in those papers. Having the pureness of Jim Davis "Garfield", the imagination of Bill Watterson's "Calvin & Hobbes", the adventurous spirit of Hal Foster's "Prince Valiant", and goofiness of Dan Piraro's "Bizarro" was what I wanted to do. But to still keep it my own, in this day of age, it is hard to be original, but what is more original than what happened in your life. So that is "Don't Ya Know!" written and illustrated by A.J. Jacunski, a pure, imaginative, adventurous, and goofy comic strip based on my life. With some exaggerations... Enjoy!
